Tricor Group Appoints David Ong as Deputy Managing Director of Singapore Operations

HONG KONG – (COMMERCIAL THREAD) –Tricor Group (Tricor), Asia’s leading business development specialist providing integrated business, enterprise, investor, human resources and payroll services, corporate trust and debt services, administration fund and governance advice, today announced the appointment of a senior ASEAN CEO. David Ong as Deputy Managing Director of Tricor Singapore.

David’s appointment is effective October 1, 2021, initially entering as an assistant alongside the outgoing CEO Ho Lon Gee who will retire but will remain an advisor to Tricor after spending more than four decades in professional services and leading the Tricor Singapore team to success. David will report to Lennard Yong, CEO of the Tricor group.

David’s main focus will be to continue to build on the foundations of Tricor Singapore and to further develop the business. It will focus on using Singapore as an ASEAN hub to support and serve our regional customers. David obtained his bachelor’s degree in New Zealand. His professional qualifications include the Chartered Accountants of Australia and New Zealand (CAANZ), the Chartered Secretaries Institute of Singapore (CSIS) and the Accredited Tax Advisor of Singapore Chartered Tax Professionals (SCTP).

David, originally from Singapore, has over 25 years of professional experience in Singapore and across ASEAN. Most recently he was a Singapore and ASEAN Business Services Partner at EY. Previously, he set up and led the corporate support services at PwC Singapore. He brings proven P&L management and solutions, solid business experience, an extensive network of clients and a strong team leadership capacity to develop and evolve the accounting and business services activities.
