Secrets to Optimizing Your Search Engine Rankings

The Small Business Center at Caldwell Community College and Technical Institute will be offering a free online workshop titled “Secrets to Maximizing Your Search Engine Rankings” from 12:00 pm to 1:15 pm on Monday, September 20. This webinar provides attendees with search engine optimization strategies to improve visibility and drive traffic to their website by focusing on keywords, links, and URLs. Participants will walk away with several tactics that can be implemented immediately to help boost rankings and drive more traffic to their sites.

Build your online marketing plan

Caldwell Community College and Technical Institute’s Small Business Center will be offering a free online workshop titled “Create Your Online Marketing Plan” from 5 pm to 6:15 pm on Monday, September 20. This webinar provides a framework and tactics for creating digital marketing. plan, focusing on the five steps to winning on the web: getting found online; be ranked on search engines; get engagement through social media; get leads and become smarter with online metrics. By the end of this webinar, participants will understand the levers they can pull to boost online commerce.

Take advantage of TikTok’s popular online platform for business. The course will cover account setup, best practices, and tips to make a business stand out on TikTok!

Business organization and record keeping with the IRS

Caldwell Community College and Technical Institute’s Small Business Center will be offering a free online workshop titled “Business Organization and Record Keeping with the IRS” from 9 am to 10:30 am on Thursday, September 23. Businesses need to know their options for legally structuring their business and how this will affect their tax liability. This session reviews legal structure options, the role of an EIN, and describes the main types of business taxes that many entities are required to pay. Additionally, the session reviews record keeping requirements for businesses, including the types of information that should be kept and how long these records are kept.

TikTok for Small Businesses Part 2

The Small Business Center at Caldwell Community College and Technical Institute will be offering a free online workshop titled “TikTok for Small Business, Part 2” from 6 to 7:30 p.m. on Monday, September 27. This course is intended for participants who wish to develop sales through TikTok. This webinar will help attendees understand TikTok analytics, provide tips for growing subscribers / customers, and explore best practices for shooting TikTok videos.

Increase your income / sales through digital marketing

The Small Business Center at Caldwell Community College and Technical Institute will be offering a free online workshop titled “Increase Your Revenue / Sales Through Digital Marketing” from 9 am to 10:30 am on Tuesday, September 28th. Marketing has always been about connecting with an audience. in the right place at the right time. From a website to a company’s online brand assets, there is an array of tactics that fall under digital marketing. Each participant will receive a free 45-page digital marketing guide and free follow-up coaching. This seminar is organized in partnership with the NC Small Business and Development Technology Center.

The Small Business Center at Caldwell Community College and Technical Institute will be offering a free online workshop titled “You’ve got the skills!” Home Business Tips for Start-up Entrepreneurs ”1 pm to 2:30 pm Tuesday, October 12. Offered by the US Small Business Administration, topics will include developing key processes for a home business, such as: start-up requirements; the skills plan; the business plan; the marketing plan; the financial plan; and how to get alternative loans to start a small home business.

Caldwell Community College and Technical Institute’s Small Business Center will be offering a free online workshop titled “Business Tax Essentials” from 9:00 am to 11:00 am on Thursday, October 14. This webinar will cover the basic requirements to help NC companies understand the laws and obligations. necessary to be a tax-compliant business. Participants will learn about filing and administration requirements, the basics of CN sales and use tax law and CN withholding tax law, will be instructed to complete returns sales tax and withholding and online filing / payment.

Business expenses and business use of your home

The Small Business Center at Caldwell Community College and the Technical Institute will be offering a free online workshop titled “Business Expenses and Business Use of Your Home” from 9 am to 10:30 am on Thursday, October 28th. What elements are deductions to reduce tax expenditures? How to manage capital expenditure? This seminar identifies the expenses that businesses can deduct from their taxes, how much of those expenses can be deducted, and how to tell the difference between capital expenses and deductible expenses. Additionally, the webinar reviews IRS publication 587 on the commercial use of a home and helps determine the amount of deduction that can be taken for a home business.
