Improved safety systems and improved operational efficiency
Safety has been a core value of Volvo Trucks since its inception and new safety features reflect our commitment to increasing the safety of all road users. Improving visibility is a major safety booster. The rear view camera on all mining trucks also provides safety during loading / unloading. All trucks are fitted with an electronic brake system (EBS) as standard. The Hill Descent Control feature sets a maximum speed to help prevent unwanted acceleration when descending with a load, thus increasing brake life. The lever and I-shift software are new and include additional drive modes. The engine management system has been improved from version 2.2 to 2.4 with several design improvements as well. The I-Roll function automatically disengages the motor when not needed. All of these features, along with improved aerodynamics and real-time driver guidance, help improve fuel efficiency.

The service offers are now complete and digital with the launch of the Volvo Connect telematics solution. This allows customers to get all of the truck’s performance parameters in a user-friendly platform with the convenience of sitting at their desks. This includes fleet management services such as positioning, performance improvement services such as fuel and environment, to enable real-time tracking of trucks, as well as to improve driver skills by monitoring individually. their driving behavior. All these services are well monitored and analyzed to achieve maximum uptime thanks to 12 Volvo Uptime Centers spread over India.
