The City of Waxahachie congratulates its Payroll Administrator, Stefanie Arredondo, PPC, on receiving the President’s Choice Award from the 2021 Texas Payroll Conference.

The award was presented by 2021 TPC Board Chair, Karen Davidson, CPP, who is Deputy Director of Payroll Services for the City of Houston. The Chairman of the Board of Directors of TPC can select any individual, or individuals, that they have felt successful or have gone above and beyond during the year they were Chairman. In related news, it was also announced that Arredondo was recently chosen as the elected chair of the PTC 2022 board. She will be the chair of the TPC board in 2023.
Arredondo has been the city’s sole payroll administrator since January 2014. She obtained her core payroll certification in October 2017 and her Certified Payroll Professional designation through the American Payroll Association in April 2018.
In October 2020, after a lengthy application and interview process, she was selected for a four-year appointment to the Texas Payroll Conference Board of Directors.
The Texas Payroll Conference is a nonprofit organization created to provide continuing education for payroll professionals. The annual conference offers payroll professionals the opportunity to learn about technological advancements, legislative and tax changes, professional development and more.
